Monroe KIDS KUNG FU PROGRAMS
Monroe Kung Fu lessons is primarily Tien Sha Pai. It is a Northern style that originates from the Tien Shi Mountains in China. External and graceful hand movements with empty hands. Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu is well-known for its Weapons Training and Weapons Forms. Tien Shan Pai is well-known for its fighting style and self protection applications. OUR MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOL
Tama Martial Arts Center, the largest building built in Dayton since 1988, is the most prominent free-standing structure kilometers away from Monroe. Grandmaster Manuel R. Taningco wanted to house all of the martial arts that he brought under one roof. The two-acres of land that make up the facility are all available for use. The facility has approximately 8,000 sq. feet of martial arts studio. The Tama Building was built with the blessings of loyal and faithful learners who supported Grandmaster Taningco throughout his 30-year tenure.
Because it was originally built for martial arts school, the building is unique. After many years of teaching, Taningco was inspired and persevering. He also had the faith to build this enormous building with the help of his learners in martial arts.
His humble beginnings were in the basement, and occasionally in the kitchen of the house where sparring was a popular activity. Taningco’s Grandmaster Gasper gave his blessing to open a club in 1976. Taningco began teaching at the Boy’s Club on Keowee Street, Dayton. He also started a club in Huber Heights through Wayne High School facility. Habitat Community Centre is down in Miamisburg. After a lot of traveling, he settled down in Belmont where the Belmont Building used to be located. Taningco took the studio down to the Belmont Building basement and moved it to Woodman Drive where “Play Guitar”. In 1988, God blessed him with the opportunity to purchase the land on which Tama is currently located in order to build his dream studio.
Grandmaster Taningco also opened martial arts training facilities in Centerville and Beavercreek, Beaver Heights, Beavercreek, West Chester, and West Chester. He sold all of them to his learners and now only manages Woodman Drive’s Tama building. He brought Shaolin Kempo, typical jiujitsu, Filipino Kali/Eskrima, Indonesian Pencak Silat, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Tai Chi, Chin Na, Full Contact, Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu, Aikijutsu, and Kendo. He was the first to teach Children Martial Arts and created a curriculum for the majority of the discipline. When he arrived in Dayton in 1976, there were no children training class. Taningco began teaching martial arts to Joanna and Lee after he had his first children.
